Coinbase wallet

<
Setting up a cryptocurrency wallet on Coinbase involves a few steps. Coinbase provides both a web-based platform and a mobile app for users to create and manage their wallets. As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, here are the general steps for setting up a crypto wallet on Coinbase:
For Web (Coinbase.com):
  • 1.
    Create an Account:
  • Visit the Coinbase website (coinbase.com) and click on "Sign Up."
  • Fill in the required information, including your email address, password, and any other details requested.
  • 2.
    Verify Your Email:
  • After signing up, you will receive an email from Coinbase. Click the verification link in the email to confirm your account.
  • 3.
    Provide Personal Information:
  • Complete the identity verification process by providing your personal information. This may include your legal name, date of birth, and address.
  • 4.
    Secure Your Account:
  • Set up two-factor authentication (2FA) for an extra layer of security. This is highly recommended to protect your account.
  • 5.
    Access Your Dashboard:
  • Once your account is verified, log in to your Coinbase account and access your dashboard.
  • 6.
    Navigate to Wallet:
  • On the dashboard, find and click on the "Wallet" option. This is where you can manage your crypto wallets.
  • 7.
    Create a New Wallet:
  • Look for an option to create a new wallet. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your new cryptocurrency wallet.
  • 8.
    Backup Your Recovery Phrase:
  • Coinbase typically provides you with a recovery phrase. Write down this recovery phrase and store it in a safe place. This phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet if you forget your password or lose access.
  • 9.
    Explore Wallet Features:
  • Familiarize yourself with the features of your Coinbase wallet, such as buying/selling cryptocurrencies, sending/receiving funds, and viewing transaction history.
